Scrapbooking Ideas - When You Have No Pictures, Have a great memory that you'd like to scrapbook about? No pictures? No problem! Scrapbook layouts do not require pictures, although admittedly pictures are a great addition to any page. If you have no pictures, you do have other options.

Do you have other keepsakes or mementos that you can use to depict this event? Do you have ticket stubs? Letters? Post cards? Travel brochures? Certificates? Programs? Itineraries? What about a piece of lace of fabric from the dress someone wore or the doily your aunt crocheted for you? Perhaps you have a memento, but its too big to put in a scrapbook layout. Take a picture of the item and use that instead.

Want to scrapbook the day your sweetie proposed to you, but no pictures? Take a picture of the ring, or take a picture of Sweetie as he is today, and use that as the bases of your layout. Consider using clip art to enhance a page. Let's say you're creating a page about your visit to the beach -- but no pictures. Find some clip art seashells, fish, mermaids, sailboats, etc., and use these embellishments for color and visual appeal. But most importantly, remember to write the story. It's the memory that you want, and above all, its your words, emotions and thoughts are what brings your story to life.

Can't write, but you sure can talk? How about recording an audio file on your computer? Burn it to a CD or DVD disk, and place the disk in your scrapbook layout. Create an envelope or file to hold it loosely, so you and others can remove it and play it whenever you want. Perhaps these scrapbooking ideas will get you started making great layouts even without pictures.
